He worked in the "Green" industry after graduation while he struggled to start his own landscape design and Installation company in the Minneapolis/St.Paul metro area. Many years later, he now owns a manufacturing and distribution company, but is still a passionate vegetable gardener. Nowadays he plants a variety crop he can fit into the 30 bale garden he has on his residential lot in Roseville Minnesota. He is an avid grower of tulips, dahlias, roses, hostas and day lillies, and is always on the lookout for new ways to make gardening easier. Karsten speaks regularly around the country and has been a keynote speaker for hundreds of events.
