It’s impossible to move an ordinary garden, but a Straw Bale Garden can be mobile (at least temporarily).
If you’re moving to a different home during the growing season, it’s actually possible to transport your already-planted-bales to your new location!
Now, this gets a lot more difficult when your tomatoes and cucumbers are climbing 6 feet up your trellis supports, of course.
But it’s another fun advantage of the SBG method: “Have garden, will travel.”
Joel managed to set up this great SBG display for the Minnesota State Fair, and haul it from his home to the fairgrounds in Roseville, Minnesota.
Could anybody do that with a soil-planted vegetable garden? Yah, you betcha NOT!
