Sweet & Spicy Pickled Jalapeno Peppers

Try saying the name of this recipe a few times as fast as you can. It’s a bit of a tongue-twister!

It’s also a DELICIOUS side dish that’s super-simple to make.


  • 1 cup white vinegar

  • 1 cup water

  • 1/2 cup sugar (increase if you want to reduce the heat)

  • 3 garlic cloves cut in half lengthwise

  • 1 Tablespoon salt

  • 7 fresh jalapeno peppers

  • 1 fresh red mini pepper

  • 1 fresh yellow mini pepper

  • 2 pint size glass jars


Thinly slice all your peppers & set aside.

Combine the vinegar, water, sugar, garlic & salt in a small kettle. Stir well & heat to boiling.

Turn off heat & add sliced peppers to kettle. 

Wait 10 – 15 minutes.

Using slotted spoon or tongs, move peppers into two pint sized jars. Carefully pour remaining liquid from kettle into jars.

Keep refrigerated & enjoy these marinated peppers for up to a month.
